  • Kilimani Community Festival Returns This November — Celebrating Unity, Culture, and Sustainable Urban Living

The Kilimani neighborhood
is set to come alive on November 1, 2025, for the annual Kilimani Community Festival (KCF)— a vibrant celebration of community, culture, and sustainability.

The much-anticipated event brings together residents, artists, entrepreneurs, and families for a day of music, food, creativity, and shared dialogue on building greener and safer cities.

This year’s festival, themed “Together for a Greener, Safer, and Connected Kilimani,” will highlight the community’s commitment to environmental stewardship, inclusivity, and innovation.

Organized by the Kilimani Community Foundation (KCF) in partnership with local stakeholders, the event will feature:

  • A Charity Football Tournament
  • Kilicycle, a community recycling drive
  • Craft vendors to shop
  • Food vendors to enjoy a time with friends
  • A Business Session in the morning
  • Music, book swap, and a vibrant children’s section

Through music and collaboration, the festival continues to strengthen the social fabric that makes Kilimani one of Nairobi’s most dynamic neighborhoods.

Empowering Local Enterprise: The Biashara Collective

A highlight of this year’s festival will be The Biashara Collective — a business and innovation hub led by Kayana and Wilde Digital. The initiative will bring together entrepreneurs, innovators, and small business owners for a half-day of learning, networking, and inspiration.

The Biashara Collective will feature interactive workshops, mentorship sessions, and digital storytelling showcases, designed to equip entrepreneurs—especially women and youth—with the tools and knowledge to grow and digitize their ventures.

“The Biashara Collective is about creating real opportunities for entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and grow together,” said Patricia Okelo, Co-Founder of Kayana.

“We’re proud to partner with Wilde Digital and the Kilimani Project Foundation to ensure that local businesses are not only visible but also equipped to thrive in the digital economy.”

Victoria Kimani, Founder of Wilde Digital, added:“Small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities. Through the Biashara Collective, we want to show how digital transformation and storytelling can help entrepreneurs unlock new markets and drive sustainable impact.”

Businesses are invited to join the celebration by purchasing a ticket and playing their part in shaping a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive Kilimani.

Building a Greener, Connected Future

Beyond the festivities, the Kilimani Community Festival serves as a powerful reminder that urban growth must be people-centered and sustainable.

As Kilimani continues to emerge as a hub of creativity and innovation, the festival underscores the value of collaboration — proving that progress thrives where people connect, co-create, and care for their environment.

Peter Kitavi, CEO, Kilimani Community Foundation,

Peter Kitavi, CEO, Kilimani Community Foundation, said, ” We are so excited to be having our annual Kilimani Community Festival, bringing residents, businesses, friends and families who enjoy Kilimani.

This year, we have partnered with Kayana and Wilde Digital to bring the Biashara Collective to be part of the day’s activities.

We are incorporating learning, networking, and inspiration as part of this day of community and fun to upscale the businesses we have in Kilimani.
