The awards, hosted at the Swiss Lenana Mount Hotel, recognize companies that demonstrate innovation, leadership, and measurable industry impact. NovaPLUS was singled out for its role in redefining online business discovery, advertising, and directory services—key areas driving the growth of Kenya’s digital economy.

Kenya’s e-commerce sector continues to expand rapidly. Projections from the Competition Authority of Kenya indicate penetration will climb to 53.6% by 2025, up from 40.3% in 2020. With over 27 million internet users and 91% of SMEs now accepting digital payments, platforms such as NovaPLUS are entering a market primed for growth.
Speaking after receiving the award, NovaPLUS CEO Bashir Mohamed said the recognition affirms the company’s vision.

The accolade comes against a backdrop of rising online fraud, with a 2024 TransUnion report showing 82% of Kenyans had been targeted by scams and 11% admitting financial losses. NovaPLUS is countering this trend by emphasizing strict verification, transparency, and secure digital pathways to rebuild consumer confidence.
Looking ahead, the platform plans to expand across key sectors including hospitality, travel, real estate, automotive, and electronics.
