FedEx, Feed the Children Launch Kenya Initiative to Fight Hunger

FedEx has teamed up with Feed the Children to introduce the Growing Futures Alliance in Kenya, focusing on sustainable food security solutions.

The program supplies nutritional food kits and gardening tools to enable small-scale farming for about 1,800 children under five and their caregivers.

FedEx volunteers in Kenya distributed these kits and connected with local communities to better understand their challenges.

Operating from January to April 2025, the initiative builds on the Delivering Futures Alliance, which previously provided school supplies to Kenyan students.

“As a company committed to delivering more than just packages, FedEx is proud to partner with Feed the Children to make a meaningful impact in Kenya,” said Gregory Saffy, managing director Sub-Saharan Africa.

Jacktone Otieno, Feed the Children’s Interim Country Director, stated, “FedEx support enables us to reach more families and provide not just immediate relief, but long-term solutions for better nutrition and self-sufficiency.”

The project falls under FedEx Cares, the company’s effort to support and empower communities.
