Saviynt has brought on cybersecurity executive Kamel Heus to lead its sales operations across the Middle East and Africa as the company seeks to expand its regional footprint and respond to growing demand for identity security.
Heus has been appointed Vice President of Sales, MEA, and will be based in Dubai. His remit includes Turkey and covers new business, renewals, customer expansion and regional channel development.
He will also oversee efforts to expand Saviynt’s partner ecosystem and develop a stronger local go-to-market organization.
A major part of the company’s regional strategy will be increasing its presence in Saudi Arabia and expanding local hosting capabilities to meet customer demands around data residency and in-region delivery.
Pete Angstadt, Chief Commercial Officer at Saviynt, said the company was making a long-term investment in the region.
“Kamel’s deep experience in the region and understanding of its customers, markets and partner ecosystem will be invaluable as we continue to expand our presence,” Angstadt said.
The appointment comes as organizations across government, financial services, healthcare, utilities, oil and gas and retail accelerate digital transformation and explore the use of AI.
According to Saviynt, the growing use of AI agents presents a new identity security challenge because these systems can increasingly access enterprise applications and sensitive data.
The company’s Zuma platform is designed to help organizations identify AI identities and apply governance and least-privilege controls throughout their lifecycle.
Heus said the region’s cybersecurity market was entering a period of significant growth.
“I’ve spent over a decade building businesses from the ground up in this region, and I’m excited to do it again at Saviynt,” he said.
Heus has 20 years of enterprise cybersecurity sales leadership experience across the Middle East, Africa and Europe. He has held senior roles at Thales, Centrify, now Delinea, and Sophos.
His most recent position was Vice President, EMEA at Thales, where he led the company’s Identity and Access Management business across the region.
Heus holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computing from Université Grenoble Alpes in France and has lived in Dubai for more than a decade.
Saviynt said his appointment will help strengthen its customer and partner relationships while supporting the company’s broader expansion across MEA as organizations seek to secure increasingly complex cloud and AI environments.
