KUCCPS Asks Universities and Colleges to Submit Courses as it Prepares for 2025 KCSE Class Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service

(KUCCPS) has requested universities and colleges to submit courses and capacities for next year’s student placement process. This signals the start of preparations for placement of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) class and candidates from other years to universities and colleges.

In a letter addressed to Vice-Chancellors and Principals of University Colleges dated 6th October 2025, KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome has requested the institutions to submit the programmes online through the KUCCPS placement system, a process that is officially referred to as Declaration of Programmes and Capacities.

“Please note that the declared programmes must be those currently offered by your institution and
duly accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE), or by the Technical and
Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) in the case of TVET programmes,” said
Dr. Wahome.
KUCCPS has written a similar letter to Principals of National Polytechnics, Technical and Vocational Colleges, Technical Training Institutes, Institutes of Technology and Secondary Teacher Training Colleges.

Similarly, the Placement Service has requested Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to submit its approved programmes and capacities for publishing in the online placement application system in readiness for the 2026 placement.

Dr. Wahome made a similar request to the Kenya School of Law, whose Diploma in Law (Paralegal Studies) was filled to capacity after it was offered on the KUCCPS system for the first time this year.

The declaration of programmes and capacities will run from 6th October to 31st October 2025.
