CIB and KBA develop Kenya’s Youth in Banking,Finance Sectors

Commercial International Bank (CIB) and the Kenya Bankers Association(KBA) are proud to announce a collaboration aimed at developing Kenya’s youth in the banking & finance sectors and empowering the next generation of financial professionals.

The initiative will focus on the launch of a new cohort of the CIB East Africa Credit Analyst Program, a flagship initiative with a legacy spanning over 30 years in Egypt by CIB Egypt .

The collaboration aims to spot and nurture Kenyan graduates in banking & finance, offering them a sponsored developmental program with the goal of shaping a new generation of professionals who can meet both local and global banking & finance market dynamics.

 The CIB East Africa Credit Analyst Program is a fully sponsored initiative that provides hands-on experience in credit assessment, lending, and financial risk analysis. 


This collaboration underscores both parties’ commitment to fostering talent and developing competent professionals in the banking & finance sectors.

The fully sponsored program, had already witnessed the successful graduation of 39 Africans across its two previous trial cohorts in 2020 & 2023 respectively, providing talented graduates with an immersive learning experience and offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the banking and financial sector.

Applications for the CIB East Africa Analyst Program are now open to Kenyan graduates with a passion for finance and banking.

Program goals
  • To develop a new generation of banking and finance professionals in Kenya
  • To prepare graduates for success in both domestic and international banking sectors
  • To shape careers and build the future of banking in Kenya
  • To develop the next generation of African leaders in finance

Program details
  • The program has successfully trained finance professionals in Egypt for over 30 years 
  • The program has already witnessed the successful graduation of 39 Africans across its two previous trial cohorts in 2020 & 2023 respectively 
  • Kenyan graduates with a passion for finance and banking are eligible to apply
