Global beer giant Heineken has kicked off its 2025 UEFA Champions League (UCL) campaign in Kenya, vowing to deliver thrilling and unforgettable experiences for football fans.

As part of the campaign, Kenyan fans will have the rare opportunity to see the coveted UCL
trophy during its world tour, which will make a stop in Kenya from May 1st to
3rd. The campaign will culminate in a grand UCL Finals Viewing Event in May,
promising a celebration like no other.

Titled “Cheers to the Hard Core Fans,” the initiative aims to elevate Kenya’s football culture by going beyond traditional match screenings.

Heineken is set to transform the fan experience with a series of immersive events that blend
football with music, art, entertainment, and lifestyle activities. The campaign
is anchored in Heineken’s global sponsorship of the UCL, which has consistently
brought fans together through unique, high-energy events.

At the campaign launch held at the
upscale Kalamata Restaurant in Lavington, Nairobi, Kenya Wine Agencies Limited
(KWAL) Commercial Director Jonas Geeraerts emphasized that this year’s campaign
would be bigger, bolder, and more engaging than ever before.

“We promise to
deliver an exciting and unforgettable Champions League season for UCL fans and
Heineken consumers alike,” he said. Geeraerts added that the goal is to shift
Kenya’s football culture from passive spectating to a dynamic mix of football, food,
music, and entertainment.

Dr. Senorine Wasike, KWAL’s Head of
Marketing, highlighted that the campaign is more than just a marketing
effort—it’s about creating meaningful connections with football fans.

“We aspire to
create unforgettable brand experiences around football. Through this campaign,
we want to foster a strong connection between Heineken and football
enthusiasts,” she said.

Football fans in Kenya can look forward
to a host of engaging activities, including the chance to see the UCL trophy up
close and participate in exclusive events leading up to the grand finale.

With Heineken at the helm, the 2025 UCL season
promises to be a celebration of football, community, and unforgettable moments
for Kenyan fans.
